Helping you make informed hiring decisions
Criminal Record checks may be more familiar to you under the titles of DBS checks or CRB checks. They investigate a candidate’s criminal history, revealing any record of past convictions, cautions, warnings, reprimands and more - depending on the level of check. Different roles require different levels of Criminal Record checks, so our specialist team can advise you if you are unsure.
We are an umbrella body with the DBS, meaning that we have direct access to initiate, track and obtain the results, and are inspected and audited to check our processes are compliant. Therefore, you can be sure that the service we provide will be as simple and efficient as possible.
Our e-Bulk service allows employers who want to check more than 10 candidates a year take control of the entire process. Clients are provided with their own secure control panel from which they can add new candidates, monitor the progress of their applications and - more importantly - see the results as they come in. Standard Disclosures are normally completed within 48 hours, whilst the Enhanced Disclosure ranges from 2 to 5 working days.
How Does it Work?
e-Bulk is an online checking process for providing identity and DBS checks, in bulk and in an efficient, timely manner. We work with accredited digital identity service provider (IDSP) systems to manage and assess data with the highest degree of integrity, security and precision.
When applying for an e-Bulk check, you’ll need to enter the basic details of the applicants into the system. The applicant will then be notified by email and prompted to log in and complete their application forms. The system sends them repeated reminders until the form is completed, freeing you from the stress of chasing up missing ID documents.
When you submit an online application form, it goes directly to the government’s DBS system. Our e-Bulk system also allows you to monitor the progress of each ongoing Enhanced and Standard DBS check by clicking on the ‘Latest Status’, keeping you in-the-know, every step of the way.
We will provide you with our welcome pack, which contains all the information you’ll need to start processing your applications for DBS checks as well as ID verification for the DBS check and Right to work check.
If you want to know more about this service, feel free to contact us, and one of our team members will happily advise you.

Our e-Bulk DBS service offers the following disclosures:
Basic Disclosure
Available through the Disclosure and Barring Service but covering England and Wales, it allows employers to confirm if a prospective employee has any current convictions. Basic Disclosures contain details of unspent convictions according to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 which are held on central police records or will state if there are no such convictions.
Standard Disclosure
Our fastest turnaround is available on these checks via the e-Bulk service, with direct submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service allowing us to normally have results within 48 hours. However, Standard Disclosures are only available for certain occupations and for entry into professions as specified in the Exceptions Order to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Standard Disclosures show current and spent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings held on the Police National Computer.
Enhanced Disclosure
This is the highest level of check, only applied to professionals with positions that involve contact with vulnerable groups, including children (e.g. caring for, supervising, training or being in sole charge of children or vulnerable adults). Enhanced Disclosures contain the same information as the Standard Disclosure but with the addition of any relevant and proportionate information held by the local police forces.
Children’s Barred List
This can only be accessed when ordering an Enhanced DBS Check and working with children. The list checks for anyone who has been barred from working with children and is not a full disclosure
Adults Barred List
This can only be accessed when ordering an Enhanced DBS Check and working in certain roles such as caring for vulnerable adults. The list checks for anyone who has been barred from working with vulnerable adults and is not a full disclosure
List 99
The List 99 checks are available separately for all client processing checks for applicants in an education environment. The separate check is available by registration through the Department of Education. Separate List 99 checks are not available through any third party agent processing DBS checks.
